DDD Limited comprises a group of companies which between them offer a flexible, complete service to take a health and beauty product from idea to a consumer’s shopping basket.  Our operating companies are run as separate business units, but all work together to deliver a range of services to our partners. We are a family company that have been making health and beauty products for over 100 years.

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Systems & Data who will have overall responsibility for the provision of IT, BI services and Application Development within the DDD  Group, including business systems, service desk, infrastructure, telecoms, security & risk management and vendor sourcing & management..

Key Responsibilities

  • IT Leadership and Management:
  • Provide leadership, coaching and direction to the IT Operations, BI and Application Development.
  • Ensure cost-effective delivery of services to exceed business expectations, and respond with agility to changing business priorities.
  • Manage the service portfolio and governance required to prioritise resources.
  • Foster a business-oriented culture and mindset driven by continual service improvement techniques.
  • Manage IT costs to meet IT’s objectives within the Capex and Opex budgets.
  • Work across the Group to enable cost-effective and innovative shared solutions in achievement of business goals.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and platforms to provide direction on what emerging technologies should be adopted.
  • Design, develop, operate and support of systems that meet the needs of the business, throughout the full application lifecycle.
  • Create and manage relationships with vendors to maximise performance.
  • Drive the development of enterprise technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics to ensure IT Operations delivers value to the Group.

    Manage internal stakeholders and external vendor to deliver the ERP migration project

    Data (Business Intelligence and Application Development):
  • Accelerate the way DDD collects, records and consumes data, accelerating our progression as a data drive organisation where each decision is supported by data
  • Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)
  • Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word etc.)
  • An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Project prioritisation
  • Ability to manage senior level stakeholders
  • Support others in the daily use of data systems and ensure adherence to legal and company standards
  • Assist with reports and data extraction when needed
  • Work closely with senior leaders to define a clear mission for the data function across the entire organisation.
  • Evolve our controls & workflows - improving the quality of our data.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure all data and reporting needs are met.
  • Raise the bar for the entire data function through best practice, tooling and automation.
  • Support and directly implement ad-hoc queries and changes to our data pipeline.

GDPR/Information Governance:

  • Training and educating employees on GDPR compliance requirements
  • Conducting regular assessments and auditsto ensure GDPR compliance
  • Serving as the point of contact between the company and the relevant supervisory authority and/or DPOaaS
  • Maintaining records of all data processing activities conducted by the company
  • Responding to data subjects to inform them about how their personal data is being used and what measures the company has put in place to protect their data
  • Ensuring that data subjects’ requests to see copies of their personal data or to have their person data erased are fulfilled or responded to, as necessary.

  • A strong leader who can provide strategic direction to the team while also making sure service delivery is maintained to the highest level.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills. Representing technology at a senior level in the organisation as well as anticipating future needs to the business.
  • A broad technical knowledge so that you are in tune with where technology advancement is going and be able to present innovative ideas.
  • Driven to provide inspirational, ethical and values based leadership always promoting cultural reform, values and high standards of professional conduct while having a self-awareness and a commitment to personal development and high resilience.
  • A strong data background, with the ability to curate technical discussions at all levels.
  • Demonstrable exposure to managing high-level stakeholders, meeting their requirements.
  • You're a strong communicator and thrive working cross-functionally with disciplines from operations to design and growth to finance.
  • You care about impact, love a challenge, and take ownership of your work.
  • You're a proven leader who cares about the team, keen to share your knowledge and open to giving (and receiving) continuous feedback.
